Brantwood Loughside 2 Northend United 2 Saturday 28th october 2017
Following a week with no match, Northend headed up to the Shore Road to play Brantwood Loughside in a League match and it started off at a very fast pace with no team settling on the ball but on the 21st minute a fine long range strike from Matthew Logan gave Northend the lead. This goal settled the Blues and from here Northend was the team on top in a one-sided half. Northend doubled their lead on the half hour mark. A good delivery from a Peter Thompson free kick found Logan again in the penalty box and he planted his header past the Loughside keeper. Northend continued to play some fantastic football for the remainder of the half but just couldn't get the all-important third goal. Half time 0-2
The second half started off the same as the first half with neither team settling on the ball, but Northend looked in control of the game until the 65th minute, when a Loughside player found himself through on goal from a clear offside position and made no mistake to beat keeper Quigley. Loughside levelled the game from another questionable offside position and closed up shop for the remainder of the game for both teams to share the points. Full time 2-2

Northend United 1 Killymoon Rangers 2 Saturday 14th October 2017
Northend fell to their home defeat of the season against table toppers and former Intermediate League side, Killymoon Rangers.
After a rocky start, Northend took the lead on 20 minutes, with a well-executed Aaron Campbell free kick. Killymoon came storming back and put the Northend rearguard under a lot of pressure, but with former U17s players Anthony Shaw and Declan Dobbin in top form, it looked like Northend would weather the storm. However, with 1o minutes until half time, the Killymoon striker got space in the box and planted the ball past Quigley in the Blues nets. The score remained the same until half time. Half time 1-1
The second half started off with Killymoon's direct style of play causing problems for the Blues. The game changed midway through the half, when another Campbell free-kick was somehow pushed over the crossbar by the Killymoon keeper, when a goal looked imminent. Killymoon scored the winner with 15 minutes of the match remaining, when a great strike from the edge of the Northend box found its way into the top corner. Northend pushed for an equaliser but the more experienced Killymoon side saw the match out. Full time 1-2

Clough Rangers Athletic 1 Northend United 1 Saturday 7th October 2017
Northend made the short trip to Clough for this local derby in what turned out to be a very good game. The first half started off at a very fast pace, with Northend's best spell coming 20 minutes into the game. During this time, Northend created 3 or 4 really good goalscoring chances but failed to take any of them and Clough hit back by applying some very good pressure of their own, but Northend dug deep and battled out to half time. Half time 0-0
The second half started off very well, with northend applying the pressure and really moving the ball well and on the 60th minute, after some brilliant work from Cochrane, the ball was squared across the box to Mathew Logan, who coolly slotted home.
With Northend looking strong and creating chances to extend their lead, somewhat against the run of play, Clough equalised from a free-kick lofted into the box and being quicker to the loose ball.
Northend had chances to take all 3 points but after some good saves from the Clough keeper it ended 1-1 but this was a strong performance from Northend. Full time 1-1

Mallusk Athletic 3 Northend United 0 Saturday 30th September 2017
Northend continued their league campaign with a trip up the M2 to play Mallusk Athletic and couldn't haven't got off to a worse possible start finding themselves three goals down inside the first 15 minutes and it really took us the rest of the first half to find our feet in the game. Half time 3-0
The second half was a case of Northend coming out and taking control on the ball and trying to play their fluent passing game but to be fair to Mallusk, other than a few half chances, Northend didn't get much joy from a strong defensive display. Full time 3-0

Northend United 6 Cookstown RBL Reserves 1 Saturday 23rd September 2017
Northend United Seniors bounced back from a poor result last week, when they welcomed Cookstown RBL to the Showgrounds on Saturday and got off to a fantastic start with Joshua Logan taking a cross down and volleying home early on, in a half where the wind was very much against the Blues. Northend doubled their lead half way through the 1st half some neat footwork on the edge of the box saw Matthew Logan make himself some room before he found the bottom corner. Cookstown got a goal from a corner just before half time. Half time 2-1
The wind died down in the 2nd half and Northend really took control with Charles Allen getting on the end of a passing move and coolly slotting home. 10 minutes later after another passing move Robert McCluney was upended in the box and Aaron Campbell put the spot kick away! But the Blues weren't finished yet and substitute Chad Shaw was causing problems with his pace and he found himself on the end of a through ball and slipped it past the RBL keeper. The 6th and final goal came from some quick play off a throw-in, with Matthew Logan squaring to Chad Shaw to score his second of the game. Full time 6-1
A massive well done to all 5 of the U17s who played today and did not look out of place!

Cookstown Youth Colts 5 Northend United 1 Saturday 16th September 2017
Very poor result and performance with a fair few missing today was a day we would rather forget! Northend never really got going against a strong Cookstown team they just showed their strength all across the park, only positives we can take from the game is a first goal for Ryan McNeill and some brilliant goalkeeping from Stephen Quigley
Man of the Match: Stephen Quigley
Everyone at the club would like to pass on our deepest sympathy to the Campbell family at this sad time with their loss earlier in the week.
We would also like to thank Cookstown for agreeing and taking part in a minutes silence.

Northend United 1 Donemana 2 Irish Junior Cup Saturday 9th September 2017
In cup action today saw us start off very slowly conceding a sloppy goal inside the first 10 minutes but we soon regrouped and got our game going and on the 33rd minute we got our rewards with Robert McCluney latching on to a threw ball to knock pass the goal keeper to make it 1-1. Half Time 1-1
The 2nd half was very even with both teams having chances to grab a 2nd but neither team could break threw in a game that looked certain for extra time.however on the 90th minute out of nowhere donemana pulled out one of the goals of the season firing over a helpless home goal keeper from the half way line. Full time 1-2
Thanks very much to everyone from Donemana FC for comeing back for food after the game and good luck in the next round

Northend United 3 Antrim Rovers Swifts 2 Saturday 2nd September 2017
Northend United's senior team made their competitive debuts on Saturday before a good crowd of spectators at the Ballymena Showgrounds. A youthful looking Northend team, whose starting eleven had an average age of 19, came out 3-2 victors against a tough and resilient Antrim Rovers Swifts side.
Northend kept the ball well in the early stages and after 30 minutes some good build up play saw Robert McCluney sent through to round the keeper and score. Rovers hit back 10 minutes later with two goals in quick succession. On the stroke of half time, Northend were awarded a penalty which Aaron Campbell tucked away. Half time 2-2
The second half started with the home side coming out with drive and determination up until the 60th minute when Charles Allen got on the end of a cross in the Rovers box to make it 3-2. Some great saves from keeper Quigley and solid defending saw Northend see the game out and take their first points of the season. Full time 3-2
